Upper Valley Curling Club resumes for winter season in Hartford, Woodstock

New curlers welcome

WOODSTOCK—The Upper Valley Curling Club will resume play in two locations this January after taking a short holiday break. On Saturday evenings at 6 p.m. beginning Jan. 7 club members will play at the Barwood Arena in Hartford, and on Sunday evenings at 7 p.m. beginning Jan. 8 they will play at the Union Arena in Woodstock.
The club has curled for many years in the Upper Valley and has room for new curlers at each location.
The curling club is a well-established organization in the Upper Valley, and welcomes curlers of all ability levels. Most people are familiar with the sport of curling from watching the Winter Olympics. The Upper Valley club is comprised of a variety of men and women of different ages and ability levels who want to share their love of the game. For information on league play, drop-in games, or clinics please e-mail uppervalleycurling@gmail.com or visit www.uppervalleycurling.org or stop by the arena during curling play and ask one of the players. The club can supply all equipment needed to play.
Barwood Arena is located behind Hartford High School on Highland Avenue in White River Junction. Union Arena is located on the grounds of the Woodstock Union High School on Route 4 just 1½ miles west of the Woodstock village.
