BILL STAINES

Friday, May 13 at 7:30 p.m. — TINMOUTH — The Old Firehouse crew welcomes Bill Staines on Friday, May 13 at 7:30 p.m. Regulars, irregulars, and lovers of traditional American music are welcome to join.

Staines has been performing all over the country since the early days of the folk revival. His songs are so familiar and played by so many other artists that often people don’t know he wrote them, including the favorite love song “Roseville Fair.” Singing mostly his own songs, Staines has become one of the most popular and durable singers on the folk music scene today, performing nearly 200 concerts a year and driving over 65,000 miles annually. He weaves a blend of gentle wit and humor into his performances.

The Old Firehouse is at Mountain View Road and Vt. 140 in Tinmouth. Doors will open at 7 p.m. There is a suggested donation of $10-$15, 90 percent of which goes to the performer. Homemade desserts, coffee and tea will be available by donation.
