“The Nutcracker” waltzes into Rutland for two performances, Dec. 20 at 2p.m. and 6p.m.

Timeless classic, “The Nutcracker” returns to the Paramount Theatre this holiday season for two performances.

Sunday, Dec. 20 — RUTLAND — In its 41st season, Albany Berkshire Ballet and dance students from area schools perform one of the world’s best-loved ballets, “The Nutcracker.” With Tchaikovsky’s soaring music, the annual favorite tells the story of a young girl, Clara, and the magical dream she has one Christmas eve. The performance is based on the timeless tale by German storyteller E.T.A. Hoffman. See it live on the Paramount Theatre stage on Sunday, Dec. 20 at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. Tickets are $29.50 – $39.50, available at paramountvt.org, by calling 802-775-0903, or at the Box Office, 30 Center Street, Rutland.
