Sustainability series kicks off in Woodstock

Tuesday, April 26 at 6 p.m. — WOODSTOCK — Sustainable Woodstock announces the kickoff of a Sustainability series the second and fourth Tuesday of every month, from 6-7:30 p.m., beginning April 26, to help evolve community dialogue and planning on sustainability—what it means, what it could mean, and what the community could and should do in response to a complex changing global climate. The series will be held at the Norman Williams Public Library. Each event will start with a short presentation, either pre-recorded media (like a TED talk or a Youtube video) or a live speaker, followed by group discussion. It is open-ended in terms of where the process goes, but Sustainable Woodstock is hoping to see a continuing discussion on what are complex global issues that will nevertheless affect us locally. The first event will share the most recent Youtube video from Dr. James Hansen, noted climate scientist.

Norman Williams Public Library is located at 10 the Green, Woodstock. For more info, call 802-457-2295.
