“Stand Up Shakespeare!” one-performance-only event presented in Plymouth Notch

Saturday, Oct. 18 at 12 p.m. — PLYMOUTH NOTCH — “Stand Up Shakespeare!” and the Calvin Coolidge Presidential Foundation announce free Shakespeare in Vermont for one performance only on Saturday, Oct. 18 at 12-noon. The special matinee performance will be in the 174-year-old Union Christian Church (43 Messer Hill Rd.) with its perfect acoustics, on the President Calvin Coolidge State Historic Site, 3780 Route 100 A in Plymouth Notch.

The “Stand Up Shakespeare!” troupe of classical actors and singers will share its collective talent, passion and creativity through “Shakespeare Alive! A Bard-Based Variety Show” that will amuse and amaze with the best of Shakespeare’s canon, as well as contemporary Bard-based entertainment. It’s a delightful mélange of Bard-based entertainment for all ages!

The “Stand Up Shakespeare!” troupe is a collection of professional actors that has returned to Killington annually over the last 14 years to share its talent and expertise in classical theater. Its members have performed Shakespeare both nationally and internationally. They now present a one-hour tour de force, “Shakespeare Alive! A Bard-Based Variety Show.”
