Slate Valley Museum holds annual dinner

Monday, Aug. 29 at 5 p.m.—GRANVILLE, N.Y.—The Slate Valley Museum will hold its annual dinner and a silent auction on Monday, Aug. 29 at the Whitehall Athletic Club in Whitehall, N.Y. The silent auction and cocktails begin at 5 p.m. with the dinner at 6:30 p.m. The silent auction will feature local arts and craft items, dinners at local restaurants, spa gift certificates, passes to golf and local attractions, sampler baskets, framed photography, slate items, and much more.
The annual dinner is the museum’s primary fundraising event of the year and all proceeds will directly support the continuation of enriching educational programs, concerts, exhibitions, and an extensive collection of historical artifacts that celebrate the history and culture of the Slate Valley region of New York and Vermont.
“We look forward to welcoming people to our annual dinner. It always turns out to be a fun evening among SVM supporters,” said Krista Rupe, executive director of Slate Valley Museum.
The cost of the dinner is $50 per person. Reservations and prepayment are required by Aug. 26. To make reservations contact the museum at 518-642-1417.
