RYP hosts professional development series

RUTLAND— Rutland Young Professionals is hosting a four-week professional development series throughout the month of September, focusing on Playing Politics in the Office.When most people think of office politics, they have a visceral negative reaction. But here’s the thing: When you learn to navigate the unspoken rules of the workplace, you can achieve more than you ever dreamed! Playing Politics offers five concepts you need to know. They’ll break down the topic and help you create an actionable strategy for how to navigate office politics in your workplace over the course of four one-hour working sessions.
Presenter Dr. Karlyn Borysenko is the founder of Zen Workplace and works with teams all over the world to build better work experiences. An organizational psychologist and executive/performance coach, she is a leader in integrating mindfulness strategies at work to increase productivity and creativity, reduce stress, and create better work experiences. She is based in the greater Boston area and serves clients all over the world. She holds an MBA and a Ph.D. in psychology, is an experienced trainer and facilitator, coach, and award-winning speaker. Borysenko is a contributor to Forbes.com and the author of “Zen Your Work: Create your ideal work experience through mindful self-mastery.”
The virtual summit series will take place on Thursdays, Sept. 3, 10, 17 and 24 from 2-3 p.m.  The series is free for current members of Rutland Young Professionals. There is a modest $25 fee for non-members, which includes all four sessions.
