Rutland Rec announces more sports, activities

RUTLAND—The Rutland Recreation Department is offering a variety of sports and activities for area students of all ages. With archery, soccer, flag football and field hockey already underway, the Rec Department adds rock climbing, art programs and youth theater opportunities.
Rock climbing
The first session of rock climbing at the Green Mountain Rock Climbing Center begins Monday, Sept. 12 and runs through Oct. 10. Depending on ability level, the session will run on either a Monday, Wednesday or Saturday at various times. A wide range of levels from beginner to advanced will be offered. Rock climbing is a lifelong skill and an excellent way for your child to participate in a full body fitness program. Staff from the Green Mountain Rock Climbing Center will assist participants in learning all aspects of climbing. Open to grades K-8. Register at www.rutlandrec.com or stop by our office located at 16 North Street Extension.
