Pets and their owners welcome at Wonderpaws Festival in Rutland

Saturday, Sept. 24 at 10 a.m.—RUTLAND—Wonderfeet Kids’ Museum will be holding the 2nd annual Wonderpaws Festival and Paw Parade on Center Street in downtown Rutland on Saturday, Sept. 24, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
Wonderpaws Festival is a community event that provides an opportunity for kids, families and community members to celebrate a day in downtown with their dogs.
The festival features many kid-friendly and dog-friendly activities and demonstrations. In addition, visitors may explore dog-related vendors and specialists. Exhibitor and vendor opportunities are available.
The event is free and open to the public; however, all dogs must register to participate in the event. Registration includes participation for dogs or dog-like toys and dog owners in the activities and Paw Parade, a token of appreciation for all participants and a chance to win a judges’ choice award in categories such as best pet/owner look-a-like, most entertaining, wildest wag and many more. The Paw Parade will conclude with participants gathering for a winner ceremony. Judges’ choice awards will be presented to winning dogs and their dog owners.
Calling all volunteers! Wonderfeet Kids’ Museum Wonderpaws Festival is looking for energetic volunteers help make this event a success. It will be an unforgettable experience.
The Wonderpaw Festival fundraiser will directly benefit Wonderfeet for capital projects and the community with educational programs. Wonderfeet fosters curiosity and exploration, inspires creativity and ignites the imagination of every child through the power of play.
