Pentangle’s Classical Music Series presents Mozart

Sunday, Aug. 28 at 4 p.m.—WOODSTOCK—This year’s Annual Mozart Festival, led by celebrated violist Scott Woolweaver, will highlight a selection of Mozart masterpieces and will close, as always, with the mysterious and powerful “Ave Verum Corpus.” The ensemble also features John Lindsey, violin, and Karen Kaderavek, cello.
Scott Woolweaver is on the faculty of the All Newton Music School in West Newton, Mass., and is Artist Affiliate in Viola and Chamber Music at Tufts University in Medford, Mass. He is a regular guest of the Martha’s Vineyard Chamber Music Society and is director of the Adult Chamber Music Institute at Kneisel Hall in Blue Hill, Maine. He plays a Johan Georg Thir viola made in Vienna, 1737.
The program will be performed at Our Lady of the Snows Roman Catholic Church, 7 South St. in Woodstock. Suggested $10 donation gratefully accepted. For more information, call 802-457-2322.
