Pen’s ready: Horace Greeley Writers’ Symposium is coming Oct. 22

Saturday, Oct. 22 at 9 a.m.—POULTNEY—The 14th annual Horace Greeley Writers’ Symposium will be held on Saturday, Oct. 22, 9 a.m.-5 pm. at the United Baptist Church on the Green, Poultney. Registration for this event is $75, with a special student rate of $20. The early registration discounted rate is expired, but one can still register online at horacegreeleyfoundation.org. Registration will be available at the event as well.
The Horace Greeley Writers’ Symposium is a celebration of Horace Greeley’s life. The symposium explores the art of writing as presented by publishers and writers in the fields of literature, poetry, philosophy, and history.
This year’s keynote speaker is David Elliott, the author of many picture books and novels for young people, including The New York Times bestselling “And Here’s to You!” Featured presenters are Hope Ferguson, freelance writer; David Mook, writer and poet; Jean Yeager, blogger and tweeter.
The Symposium is a dynamic day of learning and nurturing for writers of all ages, experience levels, and genres.
