Pampered Chef Bingo fundraiser to benefit developmental disabilities

Friday, Oct. 17 at 5 p.m. — RUTLAND — ARC Rutland Area will be giving away hundreds of dollars of Pampered Chef products to bingo players during their 10-game evening on Friday, Oct. 17 from 5-8:30 p.m. at the American Legion, Washington St., Rutland. The American Legion will open the hall at 5 p.m. for food; Bingo doors open at 6 p.m. The funds generated will support ARC Rutland Area’s programs: Self Advocacy, AKtion Club, Representative Payee, Dances, and Rutland Family Support Network.

ARC is looking to hold the Bingo fundraiser as a fun way to raise money and awareness of their organization. Anyone who is interested in supporting ARC or winning the Pampered Chef bingo prizes are welcome to buy a $20 ticket, from either a board or staff member or by stopping in the office at 128 Merchants Row, Suite 302, Rutland.

ARC Rutland Area is an organization that advocates for the rights of citizens with developmental disabilities and their families to be regarded as valued citizens with the same entitlements as non-disabled individuals, including the right to lifelong opportunities for personal growth and full participation in the community. The Self Advocacy group has an Abilities Awareness Training they like to perform for community companies, organization, schools, etc.
