Over 100 floats to march in 56th annual Halloween Parade

A “skelly” prepares to unicycle and juggle flaming torches as part of Rutland’s Halloween Parade, which marches through downtown Rutland each year.

Rutland’s Halloween Parade draws over 100 floats each year. The parade route is along Merchants Row, West Street and Wales Street in downtown Rutland. School groups, scout troops, local businesses, marching bands, political organizations, local businesses and many others have constructed creative floats for the occasion. Prizes are awarded for Most Original, Best in Parade and Most Creative.

Don’t miss Drum Journeys of Earth and its students who are widely known for leading the Rutland Halloween Parade as the Drumming Skeletons. The Parade begins at 6 p.m., Oct. 31.
