Guinness World Record for World’s Largest Swim Lesson set

WHITE RIVER JUNCTION - The Upper Valley Aquatic Center (UVAC) joined forces with 431 other facilities to break the Guinness World Record for the World's Largest Swimming Lesson (WLSL) on June 18, 2013. The size of the lesson increased by 30% to include 32,450 participants in 13 countries.

Aquatic facilities around the globe hosted local WLSL lessons simultaneously at 11 a.m. EST breaking the Guinness World Record.
This event calls attention to the fact that swimming is a life-saving skill; drowning is one of the leading causes of death for children ages 1-14.
