The 11th Annual "Laugh out Loud" Comedy Night sponsored by
Vermont Properties and Development, Inc. raised over $3,000 for
Okemo Mountain School's Scholarship Fund. The event was held on
Saturday, Feb. 23 in the Clock Tower Base Lodge at Okemo
Mountain. Comedian Bob Marley performed for a sold out crowd
of almost 300 local community members and guests of Okemo.
Mariel Meringolo and Erica Kattalia of Okemo Mountain School
(OMS) would like to gratefully acknowledge Vermont Properties and
Development, Inc. for organizing and sponsoring this great event
and particularly for designating OMS as a beneficiary. "We
are so thankful for Vermont Properties' continued support of OMS.
Every dollar raised for scholarships is crucial. Scholarships
give many student-athletes the opportunity to attend OMS when they
otherwise would not have been able" says Meringolo. Vermont
Properties' efforts are greatly appreciated by the entire school
community!
Okemo Mountain School is a non-profit educational institution
dedicated to the academic and athletic development of serious snow
sports athletes. Student-athletes are given the opportunity to
train in alpine ski racing, snowboarding, and freestyle skiing,
while pursuing a rigorous course of academic study. Okemo Mountain
School relies heavily on fundraisers and charitable donations to
help keep tuition affordable and provide scholarships to deserving
student-athletes.
