KILLINGTON-Responding to a request by Selectman Jim Haff, Ted
Brady, community and economic development liaison for Sen. Patrick
Leahy, met with community leaders to discuss state and federal
support needed to boost Killington's economy, create jobs and
streamline pathways for development.
Joining Brady were Killington Resort President Mike Solimano,
President of SP Land Steve Selbo, Killington Selectman Jim Haff and
Chris Bianchi, Killington Chamber President Chris Karr and Town
Manager Seth Webb, among others.
The ongoing plans and process for developing a village at the
base of Killington Resort, as well as the potential to leverage the
EB-5 federal program for foreign investment, which Leahy recently
worked to reauthorize, were discussed at length. While no action
was taken, the leaders discussed many ideas for progress that have
the potential to create opportunities moving forward.
