Registration deadline July 19 for participants hoping to compete

KILLINGTON - On Thursday, July 25, the Killington Parks & Recreation Department will host the 1st Annual Chili Cook-Off, presented by The Mountain Times, at the Sherburne Memorial Library.

Join the competition and bring your finest chili to compete for the title of Best Chili in Killington, or stop by the Cook-Off to taste competitor's creations! From 5-8 pm, the Sherburne Memorial Library is sure to be the busiest spot in town as the 1st Annual Killington Chili Cook-Off kicks off with a competition for individuals and businesses. Trophies will be awarded for Best Meat, Best Vegetarian, and People's Choice, with the winners being announced at 7:45 p.m.

"We're excited to add this new event to our summer line-up," said Lyndsay Gang, Killington Parks & Recreation Director. "The event combines great food, beer, and music, so be sure to stop by and place your vote for the People's Choice category."

The Chili Cook-Off takes place alongside the River Road Concert Series, for which the Chad Hollister Band will be performing from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. For those over 21, there will be alcohol available for purchase.
