On Jan. 07, at approximately 3:23 p.m., the Vermont State Police
responded to Killington Road in the Town of Killington for a
Missing Person (Lost Skiers).
Upon arrival it was learned Zachary Ross, age 16 from Vermon, NJ
and Jack Lambert, age 16 from Sussex, NJ had intentionally skied
off trail and out of bounds while on the Killington Ski Resort
causing them to become lost.
For approximately two hours the Killington Ski Patrol and the
Killington Fire Department located, tracked, and guided the
subjects to Wheelerville Road (Brewers Corner) in the Town of
Mendon. Both subjects did not suffer any injuries and denied
medical attention.
The Vermont State Police urge all skiers, snowboarders, cross
country skiers, and snow enthusiasts to respect Vermont Ski Resorts
and abide by the rules and regulations and remain on marked trails
at all times.
