KILLINGTON - On the 40th anniversary of its inception, the
Killington Trike Race returns to the mountain bringing with it a
full slate of both old and new events. Conceived in 1973 on
three barstools at the old Kings Four nightclub, the Killington
Tricycle Race drew locals, visitors and the curious to the ski town
for over two decades during the peak of summer, offering an annual
reunion of sorts for many ski groups and winter seasonal residents.
After a lengthy hiatus, the events are now back!
"Trike Race Weekend was always one of the most talked-about,
most anticipated, and most memorable parties of the entire year,"
says Foundry owner Chris Karr, who was instrumental in reviving the
event. "We're hoping to make it an even bigger spectacle than it
was, and we're introducing some exciting new components to attract
even more people. It's going to be a great time."
The 2013 Killington Trike Race Weekend is set for July 26 - 28.
