On Sunday, Jan. 20 at the 10 a.m. service, Grace Church
will celebrate and worship with a special jazz service in
celebration of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. The guest musicians
that day will be Onion River Jazz Band, a talented group based in
Burlington that has been inspiring congregations all over Vermont
with their energy and spirit. This seven-piece ensemble will play
jazz arrangements of hymns as well as other powerful music. The
choir will sing gospel arrangements by John Harrison in the African
American tradition. Feel free to "rise up singing" if you feel the
spirit! After the service, the band will play jazz music in
Fellowship Hall.
