The Vermont Holiday Festival

This weekend take part in the holiday spirit at the Vermont Holiday Festival, Dec. 14-15 at the Killington Grand Hotel. The success of this celebration is due in large part to community contributions of time, money and, of course, creativity.

Impressive displays of creativity, will be displayed at the Festival of Trees and raffle Friday and Saturday. Don't buy your Christmas Tree just yet! The Festival of Trees features over 100 beautifully decorated trees for your viewing pleasure. Trees are decorated by local businesses and feature a unique theme. Each tree and all the trimmings will be raffled off to a lucky winner.  Raffle tickets will be sold throughout the weekend at $10 for 25 tickets or $5 for 10 tickets. Trees will be raffled off at 8 p.m. Saturday evening and can be picked up on 9 a.m. Sunday morning.

Christmas would not be the same without the helping hands of many elves! Kids will have the opportunity to visit Santa's Workshop, an hour long program that includes a handcrafted toy, story time and a visit from Santa himself. Admission to Santa's Workshop is an additional cost of $10 per child.

Horse-drawn sleigh rides are another popular activity at the annual festival. Sleigh rides will leave every 15 minutes from the Grand Hotel. Snuggle up under a blanket and go dashing-through-the-snow! You'll love the beautiful views of Killington Mountain & Snowshed Pond.  Best of all, sleigh rides are free with admission!

The Jack Frost Marketplace will also be open during all festival hours and will feature unique Vermont Specialty products and gifts. Visiting these vendors is a great place to do your holiday shopping. This year we are excited to welcome New England Novelty, Vermont Country Shop, Snowflake Cupcakes, Snow Rebels, the Sherburne Women's Club Bake Sale (12-4 p.m. only or until they sell out of their delicious treats), and Fire On The Mountain Glassworks.

Admission to the Vermont Holiday Festival is $10 for adults, $5 for children over the age of 5 (children ages 5 and under are free).

Admission includes 10 raffle tickets for adults, a horse-drawn sleigh ride, face painting and hot beverages including hot cocoa and coffee. General Admission tickets to the Vermont Holiday Festival can be purchased at the entrance to the Festival, they accept cash only.
