Thanks to all who supported the Ted Bridges Scholarship Fun at the tournament

Dear Editor,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who participated in the Ted Bridges Scholarship Fund golf tournament held Thursday, June 20 at the Green Mountain Golf course. This year the tournament was run by Chris Karr under the guise of the Goombay Smash. His crew included (but was not limited to) Kate, Bobby Peterson and Franco, who did an outstanding job in organizing the festivities. Bobby was great in staying on top of everything and also adding his humor, which is always welcome, Kate added her creativity and Franco did an excellent job with the food. The tournament had a great turnout and a good time was had by all under very blue skies.

The tournament was extra special with so many hole-sponsors, the car for the hole-in-one and especially the chance to win a tractor, which was the talk of the tournament and incidentally made a great photo for the many who participated.

Most importantly quite a bit of money was raised for the scholarship fund for students trying to enter any phase of the hospitality industry - Ted Bridges would be very happy.

Thanks again to Phil Black who, with his crew, got this fund going with the first tournament last year. Chris and the committee, which includes Megan Smith, Jeannie Karlhuber, Billy Bauer, Charlie Demarest and Sally Bridges give you our sincerest thanks for the beginning of what promise to be a long and fruitful relationship.

Sincerely,

Megan, Jeannie, Billy, Charlie and Sally
