Green Up Killington

Dear Editor,

Although the Annual Green Up Vermont Day in Killington will take place on Saturday, May 4, 2013 residents and visitors to Killington may begin (and encouraged) to start Greening Up right now as the official Green Up bags have arrived at the Killington Town Hall on River Road. The bags will also be available at the rear of the Killington Road firehouse at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 4. Please bring the filled bags of roadside trash to the transfer station (dump) on River Road when they are filled, and also any large pieces of trash that will exceed the bag capacity.

There will be a Thank You BBQ for all volunteers at the firehouse starting at 11:30 a.m. on May 4. Killington Resort has donated hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken, salads, cookies and drinks for the BBQ. Other donations of bbq food are from the Phat Italian, Cliff's Deli, the Killington Market, Craig Pilsmaker's Mountain Creamery, and the Burke family.

Thank you so much for making our community trash free!

Deb Burke, Town of Killington Green Up Day Coordinator
