Cumberland Farms in Wallingford robbed

WALLINGFORD - On Nov. 28 at approx. 11:50 p.m. the Vermont State Police in Rutland were called to investigate a report of a robbery that occurred at the Cumberland Farms, 309 US Route 7 in the town of Wallingford, Vt.
A lone white male dressed in a dark green rain poncho, sunglasses and a bandana had approached the clerk and demanded money from the cash register, police learned.
The suspect did not display a weapon but kept his hand under the poncho, indicating to the clerk that he had one in his possession.
The suspect received an undisclosed amount of money and fled the area on foot. A K-9 was brought in and tracked the suspect behind the store where the bandana and some cash was recovered on the railroad tracks.
