Rutland man succumbs to injuries after colliding with tree

MOUNT HOLLY - On Sept.15, 2013, at 2:57 a.m., members of the Vermont State Police from the Rutland Barracks responded to a report of a single vehicle crash on VT RT 103 in Mount Holly.

State Police investigation determined the operator of the vehicle was Jared T. Alexander, age 33 from Rutland. Alexander was traveling north on Route 103 when his 2001 Jeep Wrangler left the east side of the roadway and subsequently struck a tree.

Alexander was transported to Rutland Regional Medical Center (RRMC) for treatment to his injuries. Alexander succumbed to the injuries sustained from the crash.

Police reported that Alexander did not appear to be wearing a seatbelt.
