Mendon man arrested for excessive speed

CLARENDON - On May 13, 2013, at approx. 8:50 a.m., the Vermont State Police observed a vehicle traveling at an excessive rate of speed northbound on VT Route 103 in Clarendon, Vt. The Vermont State Police observed the vehicle's speed by Doppler radar to be 111 MPH. The speed limit in this area is 50 MPH. The Vermont State Police turned on the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. The operator identified himself as Donald E. Mailhiot, age 41 from Mendon.  Mailhiot was arrested and processed for excessive speed at the Rutland State Police Barracks.
