Brooklyn man directed out of backcountry

On Thursday, March 21, at approximately 4:09 p.m., the Vermont State Police responded to Killington Road in the Town of Killington for a report of Missing Person (Lost Skier).

Upon arrival it was learned Timothy J. Brodhagen, age 36 from Brooklyn, NY, had intentionally skied off trail/out of bounds while on the Killington Ski Resort causing him to become lost.

For approximately one hour the Killington Ski Patrol located, tracked, and guided Brodhagen to Wheelerville Road (Brewers Corner) in the Town of Mendon. Brodhagen did not suffer any injuries and denied medical attention.

The Vermont State Police urge all skiers, snowboarders, cross country skiers, and snow enthusiasts to respect Vermont Ski Resorts and abide by the rules and regulations and remain on marked trails at all times.
