VINS invites licensed rehabilitation professionals and
individuals working toward a wildlife rehabilitation license to
attend the 2013 Avian Wildlife Rehabilitation Workshop Series at
VINS Nature Center. This series of workshops will allow
participants to learn key principles of avian rehabilitation
through lectures, discussions, demonstrations, and hands-on
labs.
Workshops will be offered one Saturday per month beginning Feb.
9, from 1-4 p.m. The first workshop will cover Avian Anatomy &
Physiology. Discover how unique a bird's body is, how it differs
from mammals, and how they use their special adaptations in
everyday life.
Topics of future workshops will include Physical Examination
& Initial Care, Fluid Therapy & Emaciation Treatment, Wound
Management, Fracture Immobilization, and Baby Bird Care. For full

The Avian Wildlife Rehabilitation Workshops are geared toward
adults 18 and older. Cost for the workshops is only $24 per session
for VINS members and $30 per session for non-members. Please
