Dear Editor,
Marty Brown was a true original, possessing a king-sized heart
and a gift for relating to the people who needed the services he
provided at Habro's Garage. I depended on Marty and his capable
staff to extricate me from mechanical catastrophes and they
accomplished this with speed, accuracy and a fair price all the
while making me feel like I was the most important
client of the day.
Marty could turn an unpromising situation into a three-ring
circus with the exchange of phone calls (always amusing) that kept
me apprised of progress and finally the phone call that said "your
car is all ready, I'll bring it down." The ride back to the garage
was literally a "trip." He was a wonderful person to be with. My
heart goes out to his beautiful family and the many friends he
leaves behind. He was a true asset to this community and will be
greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
