New Dew Tour schedule features only one major Mountain event held in December in Breckenridge, CO

On April 16, Alli Sports announced a four-year renewal of their
partnership with Mountain Dew along with a new format for the 2012
Dew Tour. Alli Sports and Mountain Dew are reshaping the Dew
Tour to showcase action sports in a series of three large-scale,
'grand-slam' style events. The new tour model will include
just one event per Beach, City and Mountain venue. There will
no longer be a multi-stop series for each type of
venue.
According to Alli Sports, the new format reflects the changes in
the action sports landscape since the Dew Tour was launched in 2005
and answers athletes' requests "for fewer, bigger, better
events." "The new Dew Tour, which will include three major
events across Beach, City and Mountain venues, represents what the
athletes and industry want and need today," said Wade Martin,
President and CEO of Alli Sports.
Spanning the country August through December, the 2012 Dew Tour
schedule will include returns to Ocean City, Maryland and
Breckenridge Ski Resort, with a debut event in San Francisco on the
West Coast.

Alli Sports commends the Killington community for their support of
the Dew Tour over the past couple of years. "We've had two
incredibly successful East Coast events here at Killington Resort,
and appreciate the support Killington Resort and the entire
Killington community has extended to the event. This year, the Dew
Tour is evolving to better fit the changing needs of the action
sports industry with one major Mountain event held in
December."
While we are disappointed that the Dew Tour will not be returning
to the East Coast next year, we believe that Killington's ability
to host an event of this magnitude, at such a high level, has
served the Killington community's brand well and will help attract
new high-level events to Killington in the future.
