Multiple choices challenge us, especially in love

By Cal Garrison, a.k.a. Mother of the Skye

This week’s Horoscopes are coming out under the light of a waning, Leo Moon. Two days past fullness, it will enter Virgo at around 10:45 p.m., on the East coast, and at around 8:45 p.m. out here in the West.

In the meantime, Mercury turns direct; after three weeks in Retrograde motion the planet that oversees our best-laid-plans is ready to get back on its rocker and keep forging straight ahead on an even keel. This will be good news to anyone who is looking for situations to clear up, once and for all, and for those of us who have been waiting to hear, or know for sure that it is now safe to move forward with a new, more perfectly honed plan.

In addition to this, Venus, which recently entered Capricorn, is sitting in a three-way conjunction with Lilith and Eros. I cracked up laughing when I saw this. For anyone who holds fast to the belief that love and fidelity always show up in the same package, this aspect is bound to test that notion in more ways than one. A simple conjunction between Venus and Lilith tells me that many of us are tied up in situations where the need for specialness and exclusivity is being challenged by forces that suggest there is always more than one choice, and more than one person, place, or thing to choose from.

With Eros thrown into the mix, forget about it; Eros is the sexual component; it is the force that stirred the creation process when Spirit moved across the waters of the deep. Layered in with Venus and Lilith, what Eros adds to the notion of multiple choice is going to ring up all kinds of reasons, and plenty of opportunities to want to try something new.

Keep in mind this is a test that is bound to stir up all kinds of reactive behavior. If you can a) lose the need to possess, b) remember that love has nothing to do with ownership, c) know that there’s plenty of love to go around, and d) understand that no one is intrinsically better or worse; nor more or less than anyone else, you will get through this with flying colors — you might even learn something about the power of love. Anyone who is born with major planets in the early degrees of Aries, Cancer, Libra, or Capricorn will be most heavily impacted by this transit.

The Sun entered Aquarius back on Jan. 20. As you may or may not know, the sign Aquarius is more than just an emblem for the consummate, hippie, tree-hugger. It is the template for the fully enlightened human being who has awakened to the Christ Consciousness within themselves. And what happens every year at this time is that all of us have an opportunity to connect with the Christed Being in our own hearts, deeply enough to begin to manifest new visions, new dreams, and a whole new plan for the future. The latest clue to the new direction is born whenever the Sun passes through the realm of the Water Bearer. Keep that in mind as you ponder multiple choice tests (we will talk more about it next week) for now let it be enough to chill out, and let yourself enjoy this week’s ‘scopes.
