Mill River UHS hosts Vermont Regional One Act Festival

 

Saturday, March 12 — NORTH CLARENDON — Mill River Union High School’s Stage 40 will play host to the area’s Vermont Regional One Act Festival on Saturday, March 12. This state-wide festival will feature six schools in a day long celebration of the technical and performing arts.

In addition to Mill River, the other schools attending will be: Fair Haven UHS, Chelsea HS, Essex HS, Whitcomb HS, and Hartford HS.

The One Act Festival is a Vermont Principals’ Association sponsored event, and has a long, rich tradition. All schools have a 60-minute time frame in which to set up, perform and “strike” their show. Students will attend workshops in stage combat, lighting design, and movement.

The public is invited to attend the performances. General admission is $5 for each block.

The performances are as follows: Mill River, “The Real Inspector Hound;” Chelsea, “Letters to Kurt;” Fair Haven, “The Great Collision of Monday Last;” Whitcomb, “Twin Camp;” Essex, “Woyzek; ” and Hartford, “The Struggles.”
