Lower stress the “write” way

Tuesday, April 19 at 6 p.m. — RUTLAND — Research shows that writing and journaling can help individuals face difficult challenges with past or present experiences. Expressive writing can help transform our health by lowering blood pressure, improving self-esteem, decreasing the heart rate and much more.

Join Joanna Tebbs Young, MA-TLA, a certified instructor through the Center for Journal Therapy, for a writing workshop. She will coach participants through simple writing and doodling exercises that will help participants manage stress and long-term worry. Participation requires neither any prior writing experience, nor aspirations to become a writer.

The workshop will be held on Tuesday, April 19 from 6-7:30 p.m. at the CVPS/Leahy Community Health Education Center at Rutland Regional Medical Center on 160 Allen Street in Rutland. Fee for the class is $10. Space is limited. To register for the class visit www.RRMC.org or call 802-772-2400.
