Local artist Maurie Harrington leads watercolor workshop

Sunday, Jan. 24 at 10 a.m. — KILLINGTON — Throughout the winter months, local artist Maurie Harrington, a signature member of the Vermont Watercolor Society and featured artist on the cover of 2016 UVM Medical Center calendar, will be teaching watercolor painting at Killington ART Garage.  Harrington is a founding member of the Killington ARTS Guild and holds a Masters degree in fine arts from the University of Norwich. She has illustrated children’s books, painted large murals, and is a member of the National League of Pen Women. She exhibits widely throughout New England and enjoys working in both acrylic and watercolor.

On Sundays from 10 a.m. until 12-noon, you can find Maurie Harrington at Killington ART Garage. Enjoy painting along with her as she guides the class through a chosen painting, teaching her watercolor techniques and sharing her vast experience with this medium. This on-going, drop-in class is open to all abilities, includes all materials and offers a perfect way to spend a Sunday with friends and family. Whether you are watercolor painting for the first time, working on your own technique or looking for a relaxing fun way to start your Sunday, Harrington will be on hand to help you. Tea or coffee and sweet breads will be included to enjoy. The Killington ART Garage’s space offers great morning light, a comfortable room and relaxing atmosphere.
