KILLINGTON — In 2014, the Recreation Commission and Selectboard voted to restore the recreation director to a full time position.  After dozens of interviews with over 50 applicants, Kim Peters was selected as the new full-time recreation director.

Peters has extensive experience in managing community sports programs. For the last seven years she worked as the director of aquatics and head swim coach for the Clippard Family YMCA in Cincinnati, Ohio. During her time in Cincinnati, she also served as the Morgan-Ross Athletic Association soccer director and events coordinator, and the Trinity Lutheran Church Christian education director. Peters has a bachelor’s degree from Ohio State University, and recently relocated with her family to the Killington Area.

Kim Peters took the position immediately, starting on May 4. She’ll work part-time through June 16, when she will begin full time. Her office hours through June 16 will be Monday-Friday, 12-4 p.m. with some weekends. Peters can be reached at kim@killingtontown.com or 422-3932.
