John Langhan’s Green Mile held July 4

Monday, July 4 at 8 a.m — WOODSTOCK — Join the 40th annual John Langhan’s Green Mile road race on July 4 at 8 a.m. — a 7.1 challenging run or walk through the village of Woodstock to celebrate the 4th of July. All participants receive a free t-shirt and snacks. Bring a group of friends and family to join in. The course can either be for a competitive run, a nice morning jog, or a leisurely walk.

The Kids’ Fun Run (ages 10 and under) is a short loop around the village green. No registration is necessary—it’s free and all kids receive a finisher’s metal.

The Green Mile Road Race is a fun time with lots of dancing to the live music on the green. Post-race festivities will include music, division awards, and an award for the most patriotic costume.

All proceeds from the race benefit the Spectrum Teen Center in Woodstock.

Registration: begins 8 a.m. on the Green. Runners start at 8:30 a.m.; walkers start at 8:30 a.m.; and the Kids’ Fun Run starts at 10:30 a.m. Pre-register at active.com for $30 or on the day for $35.
