Historic Pierce Hall is home to Rochester contra dance

Thursday, July 17 at 7 p.m. — ROCHESTER — The next Rochester contra dance will be held on Thursday, July 17 from 7-10 p.m. at Pierce Hall, 38 Main St., Rochester. The fee to participate is a $5-10 sliding scale.
Mary Wesley will teach dances to the music of Pete’s Posse (Pete Sutherland on piano and fiddle; Oliver Scanlon on fiddle, mandolin, and foot percussion; Tristan Henderson on guitar, bazouki, jaw harp and foot percussion). Musicians are welcome to sit behind the band. Participants do not need to come with experience, nor a partner. Everyone is welcome!
