Green Up Killington — all 44 miles of it!

Saturday, May 2 — KILLINGTON — The Green Up bags have arrived at the Killington Town Hall and you may begin the cleanup of our 44 miles of roadsides right now. Although the designated Green Up day is Saturday, May 2, it is important to get all the roadside litter picked up before the wildflowers and grasses start to grow up through the trash. There is a sign-up sheet at the Town Clerk’s office to report on which roads citizens volunteer to clean up. Bring the green bags and any larger litter to the Transfer Station on River Road on Saturday, May 2 or Monday, May 4. Arrangements have been made for the Transfer Station attendants to take the Green Up bags on May 9 and 11 also.

There will be a thank you barbecue for volunteers at the rear of the Killington Road firehouse from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 2.

For more info, call Deb Burke, Green Up Day Coordinator, at 802-422-3623.
