REHOBOTH WELSH CHOIR

Saturday, April 11 at 7:30 p.m. — POULTNEY — The Green Mountain College Choir will host the Rehoboth Welsh Choir (Côr Cymraeg Rehoboth) in concert on Saturday, April 11 at 7:30 p.m. on campus in Ackley Hall. The performance is free and open to the public.

The Rehoboth Welsh Choir is a concert choir in the tradition of the great performing choirs of the Welsh valleys. The choir sings the music of the faith and culture of Wales and from the rich heritage of classical and modern choral repertoire. Organized in 1984, members of the choir come from a wide-ranging area from Philadelphia to Washington, D.C. The Choir has entertained audiences throughout Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York, and Wales. These concerts enrich and educate listeners with the depth and beauty of the Welsh language, culture, and choral tradition.

The Green Mountain College Choir, directed by James Cassarino, is the only collegiate choir in the U.S. that sings in the Welsh language. In addition to past collaborations with the Rehoboth Welsh Choir, the GMC Choir has performed with some of the most prestigious choirs throughout Wales.
