Expanded seven-week Cooler In the Mountains Concert Series returns July 18

KILLINGTON — The Killington Pico Area Association (KPAA) announced the return of the free Cooler in the Mountains concert series this summer.

National recording artist Donavon Frankenreiter will headline the seven-week line up of free shows, which kicks off July 18 and July 25, and continues on consecutive Saturdays from Aug. 8 through Sept. 5. Each show is expected to bring thousands of attendees.

The series will occur at Killington Resort’s Snowshed Base Area, the soon to be home of a 4,800 foot long mountain coaster, high ropes course, zip ride, an interactive maze, ATV/UTV tours, and Segway tours.

In conjunction with the series, the KPAA is offering Weekend getaway “Play and Stay” packages starting at just $79/night (2 people per room, tax and fees not included). Additional details are available on DiscoverKillington.com.

Confirmed acts are: July 18, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band; July 25, Bim Skala Bim; Aug. 8, Donavon Frankenreiter; Aug. 29, Live at the Fillmore.

Acts for Aug. 15, 22, and Sept. 5 will be announced next month. Long Trail Brewing Company and Farrell Distributing will be the presenting sponsors of the series, which will run 3:30-6 p.m.
