Farmers’ market Christmas fair offers Vermont flavor and flair

Friday and Saturday, Nov. 25-26 at 10 a.m.—POULTNEY—The Lakes Region Farmers’ Market invites you to its 13th annual Poultney Christmas Fair, one of the oldest and largest holiday fair in the area. The fair takes place on Friday, Nov. 25 and Saturday, Nov. 26 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., in the Poultney High School gym on Route 140 (East Main Street). Admission is free.
This craft and food fair has 60 vendors offering the best in creativity and quality, that which makes Vermont famous, including quilts, jewelry, art, paintings, glass, ceramics, wooden ware, fabrics, hats, and even old fence décor. A few vendors bring creations from the Adirondacks of New York.
Food vendors bring the flavor and tastes of Vermont. Country bakers make the mouth water with breads, pies, cookies, and fudge. Famous Vermont specialty foods will be on hand, including maple products and Vermont cheeses; plus preserves, salsas, marinades and more. Vermont apples and cider bring the taste of fall. There will be Christmas décor and fresh balsam wreaths. Gift baskets and mail order are available. A few vendors will take orders for special Christmas foods. For more info., call 802-287-9570.
