Art in the Park celebrates 54 years

Demonstrations of arts of all kinds will be on display at Chaffee’s Art in the Park, Aug. 8-9.

Aug 8-9 — RUTLAND — The Chaffee Art Center is pleased to present its 54th Annual Art in the Park fine art & craft festivals for 2015 being held Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 8 and 9 in Main Street Park, at the Junction of Routes 4 & 7 in the heart of Rutland. Festival hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. The festival draws an estimated 4,000-5,000 visitors every summer and will host over 90 new and returning vendors in fine art, clay, metal, glass, fiber, jewelry, natural body products, mixed media, photography, wood, and specialty foods. Art in the Park has been named one of the “Sunshine Artist 200 Best,” and voted Rutland Herald’s “Best of the Best” in the category of “Best Arts Festival.”

Voluntary entry gate contributions are encouraged. All gate donations go to sponsor the Chaffee Art Center’s exhibitions, art education classes, and community outreach programs.
