Mother's celestial inspirations

Egos, please keep your fingers out of the machinery!

This week’s Horoscopes are coming out under the light of a Cancer Moon, with aspects that are bound to require more than the usual amount of mental and emotional self control. The next few days will be governed by the way we handle ourselves from moment to moment. I say this because a series of tough aspects between the Moon, Pluto, and Uranus, have already been disturbed by a lunar conjunction with Hades, and this will give those whose defenses are easily overwhelmed, a run for their money.

On a good day Moon/Uranus and Moon/Pluto aspects are famous for bringing out whatever’s been hiding under the rug. More often than not, that prospect turns out to be too much to bear. Those of us who know that it’s always better to reckon with our demons than to let them run us from within, will have a much easier time.

Things could get volatile, for sure. The fact that the Moon brushed over Hades in the wee hours of the morning, suggests that we woke up on the wrong side of the bed. If we’re feeling a little down, there is a good chance that this sense of depression will be compounded by external forces that we haven’t got the strength, or the flexibility to transcend.

Like everything else in this world sometimes things manifest in a projected form. These stressed out lunar aspects may be less about our own complexities, than they are about others. It’s quite possible that we will find ourselves surrounded by females who are totally depressed, PMS-ing and in need of more support than usual. No matter who or what is out of sorts, when Hades hits the Moon, it means it’s time to look all of it straight in the eye. On a purely mundane level, it can simply mean that today is the day that the cleaning lady shows up scrub the house from top to bottom.

Before the Sun goes down tonight the Moon will also form a conjunction with Siwa. Siwa is a heavy hitting asteroid that has such a destructive vibration it makes it hard for the Moon, which is the emotional/feeling component, to feel safe and secure. Having certainty, knowing for sure that everything’s OK, being comfortable where we are — none of those things will apply today.

I would expect there to be undercurrents of dis-ease that make everything feel a little ‘off’, no matter how nice the surface conversations and experiences seem to be. There is nothing intrinsically wrong with this. Siwa has a place in the scheme of things. It is a strong indicator for Asia, Asian themes, and anything that bears a whiff of same. Siwa can be the destructive influence of ‘The Father,” and/or, the “Will of Heaven.” Inherently lethal, what it shows up to destroy is always out of integrity and in need of an overhaul. In the end this asteroid forces us to go within and  learn how to recreate our experience from a more authentic place.

Venus went direct on Sept. 6, which means that hopefully, what we thought we wanted about a month ago is now sitting on the same page with what our Higher Selves really want. These times are too tenuous for any of us to know for sure if we have the right idea. If you’re trying to keep things on an even keel, good luck! It could all change in a heartbeat. As long as we know that, and as long as our egos keep their fingers out of the machinery, this stretch of the gauntlet should be OK. Keep that in mind as you sit down to enjoy this week’s ‘scopes.
