Dock diving dogs compete to benefit humane society

How far can your pooch soar? Bring your dock jumpers to the competition at Lake Bomoseen to find out how they stack up to the competition.

Sunday, Sept. 28 at 12 p.m. — BOMOSEEN — The sixth annual dock diving competition to benefit the Rutland County Humane Society (RCHS) will be held on Sunday, Sept. 28 at 12-noon at Lake House Pub & Grille on Lake Bomoseen.

Tickets are $5 per dog jumping, or to watch. Registration begins at 11 a.m. Each dog will get a practice jump and a competitive jump. Practice jumps begin at 12 p.m. followed by competitive jumps beginning around 1 p.m.. The 10 dogs with the longest jump will reach the finals for a third jump. Prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third place longest jumps; as well as for the biggest splash, and the most comical. Bring your pooch, watch, or compete and enjoy a fun afternoon. All proceeds benefit RCHS.
