Not a snow fan? Take some time to check out The Killington Arts Guild located on Route 4. Founded in 1998, the arts guild features a variety of artists and their goal is to develop cultural advancement and awareness about arts in the world.
Butternut Inn and Pancake House- Local meats and unlimited pancakes to start your day
Located less than three miles from Snowshed base lodge, the Butternut Inn offers 18 rooms that all include a private bath, flat screen TV and free wifi. Hardwood floors and a wood pellet stove give a true Vermont feel. Oh, and who doesn’t want an all you can eat pancake breakfast?!
If the time ever comes where you are bored of shopping for new gear at Darkside Snowboards, check out their own park, located right next to the building. Take a few minutes to shred some rails and boxes and potentially make some new friends who are doing the exact same thing.
Visit the famous local Bernese mountain dog at the Mountain Times
Need some puppy loving but don’t have a dog to snuggle? Come stop by the Mountain Times office and say hello to Kanosha, the resident Bernese Mountain Dog. Her favorite food is pizza and she is always open to some play time.
Ledgewood Yurt for Lunch or take a snowcat up at night and experience dining at elevation
Bundle up for the memories only the Ledgewood Yurt can create. Not available by car, a snowcat drawn sleigh is the only up. Recommended for 21 and up (expect on family nights), you’ll enjoy dishes made from local ingredients, signature prime meats and a truly unique atmosphere.
Whether you’ve never been on a snowmobile before or you’re an expert, check out the snowmobile tours at Killington. A range of trails are available and all tours include the newest snowmobiles, helmets and boots. Choose from one hour or two hour tour or even a full day rental! Just another great way to spend the day having fun in the snow.
Liquid Art- Stop in for a maple latte in the middle of the day or happy hour for their amazing martinis and check out the local art, music, and experience a truly unique coffee house
Forget about the polar vortex for a little while at Liquid Art where they service VT Artisan coffee, tea, espresso and lattes. If you’re looking for something a little stronger, they also offer signature cocktails. Light bites are offered for breakfast, lunch or happy hour if you get hungry.

After an exciting day at the mountain, hit up McGrath’s Irish Pub for a perfectly poured pint of Guinness, live music on the weekends and delicious food. Guinness not your favorite? They also have Vermont’s largest Irish Whisky selection.
Mountain Meadows Cross Country or Snowshoeing on Kent Pond
Downhill skiing isn’t the only skiing available during the winter! At Mountain Meadows, they offer 31K of prime cross country skiing and shoe shoeing. Why wouldn’t you want to ski out the door to beautiful Kent pond or stomp through the winter wonderland woods?

Located right at the top of Killington road, Santa Fe steak house offers a lovely fireplace lounge, cozy booths and some of Killington’s best steaks and seafood. While you’re chowing down, let the live entertainment fill your ears with some sweet tunes.
Waterfall which is pure ice right now at Thundering Brook Falls
The picturesque 140 foot waterfall is a stunning photography opportunity during the winter because it is completely frozen solid. Enjoy a rigorous hike (may not be suitable for family outings) for aruly unparallel views and experience.
