Cooler in the Mountains welcomes Bim Skala Bim for Saturday’s free concert

Saturday, July 25 at 3:30 p.m. — KILLINGTON — Bim Skala Bim will perform a free concert at Killington Resort’s Snowshed Base Area on Saturday, July 25 beginning at 3:30 p.m. The free concert is part of the Town of Killington’s Cooler in the Mountains summer concert series, presented by Long Trail Brewing Co.

With an infectious “Boston Blue Beat” sound Bim Skala Bim was one of the premier bands kickstarting the Third Wave of Ska in the 1980s. One of the world’s longest-running independent bands with over twenty five years of touring and recording, Bim Skala Bim has released nine highly acclaimed albums.

Cooler in the Mountains concerts are free, family-friendly events continuing on Saturday afternoons through Sept. 5.  The concerts feature Long Trail beer tastings along with, lawn games and outdoor fun; plus all in attendance will have the chance to win a 2015-2016 Killington season pass, which will be given away at the conclusion of the series. Concertgoers are encouraged to come early to enjoy the new Snowshed Adventure Center, and enjoy a dinner after the show along Killington Road. The next concert on Aug. 8 features Donavon Frankenreiter with opening act Will Evans.
