JOHN KING

Saturday, Aug. 15 at 3:30 p.m. — KILLINGTON — John King will perform a free concert at the Killington Resort’s Snowshed Adventure Center on Saturday, Aug. 15 from 3:30 to 6 p.m.

Singer/songwriter John King blends the stylistic qualities of southern rock and country. King has opened for popular country artists such as Florida Georgia Line, Brantley Gilbert, and Jason Aldean. A rising country star, King’s 2014 debut single, “Tonight Tonight”, entered the Top 40 on the Country Airplay chart.

Cooler in the Mountains performances are scheduled Saturday afternoons through Sept. 5. The concerts are free and open to all ages, and guests are encouraged to bring lawn blankets and chairs to enjoy the scenic views. In addition to great music, the concerts, adjacent to Killington Resort’s new Adventure Center, feature Long Trail beer, lawn games and outdoor fun. Plus all in attendance will have the chance to win a 2015-2016 Killington Season Pass, which will be given away at the conclusion of the concert series. The next concert on Aug. 22 features Boston-based Entrain.
