Compass holds open day

Thursday, June 23 at 2 p.m. — BRANDON — The Compass Music and Arts Foundation is holding a free open day to show some of the work of the Foundation over the past three years, on Thursday, June 23 from 2 to 8 p.m. Members of the board will be available to talk about the work of the Foundation. Visitors can enjoy “The Sky’s the Limit” pastel exhibit in the main hall; browse the Treasure Chest, Bagatelles, and Divine Art CD stores; visit the farmer’s market; and enjoy Mexican food in the Heart and Soul café. Stephen Sutton will show visitors around the phonograph rooms and give demos on how some of these vintage machines operate. Arthur Doty will place the golden spike in the model Otter Valley Railroad and run the trains around the tracks. Laura King will read stories in the children’s room with puppets; and there will be free Ben and Jerry’s.
