Cavendish holds town-wide tag sale day, bbq, and more on Saturday

Saturday, July 30 at 9 a.m.—CAVENDISH—The 6th annual Cavendish town-wide tag sale has something for everyone: treasurers, great prices, the object you’ve been trying to find for years, the item you just can’t live without, as well as good food and friendly people.

From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 30, the village greens (Cavendish and Proctorsville), Main Street and other locations, are lined with vendors ready to bargain. A list of vendors, including what they will be offering, is available at the Cavendish Connects website, cavendishconnects.com.

The Proctorsville Fire Department will be hosting its annual barbecue, while the Cavendish Historical Society will be signing copies of its latest publication “Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn: The Writer Who Changed History” in the Proctorsville Green gazebo. There are several “moving sales” this year and for those who love the “best bargain/free/you can have it” set up under the big tree on the Cavendish Village Green.

Vendors from surrounding towns will be able to purchase booth space on the village greens for a fee of $15. Non-residents interested in learning more about this opportunity cal all 802-226-7807 or email cavendishconnects@gmail.com.
