British storyteller Simon Brooks delights with winter stories

Friday, Dec. 9 at 4:45 p.m.—WOODSTOCK—Award-winning British storyteller Simon Brooks has been enthralling audiences all over New England for over 10 years. His “Winter Wonderland of Stories” will entrance all ages with stories about the winter, about night and light and all of the shenanigans that go on in folk and fairy tales! Join him at Norman Williams Public Library on Friday, Dec. 9 from 4:45-5:45 p.m. as part of Wassail Weekend in Woodstock. His stories, both live and his award winning recordings, combine the intensity of solo performance with the intimacy of face-to-face conversations, delighting all ages.
Brooks began storytelling to groups and family audiences in 1991 in England, and became a professional teller in 2003 in America. Born in Gloucestershire, raised in Worcester and making many trips in and out of Wales, and to Scotland, Brooks was raised on traditional tales. He performs and teaches at hundreds of venues each year including schools, colleges, businesses, museums, and festivals.
